Available to Watch: Emily Faux on Representing Nuclear War
Emily Faux talks to Roland bleiker about her ongoing Ph.D. research on the role of popular imaginaries as a source of knowledge about nuclear weapons and war. The discussion focuses in particular on Emily's methods, which revolve around visual collage and other creative ways to investigate the politics of visuality and narratives.
Emily is a PhD Candidate at Newcastle University, UK. She also teaches at the University of Leeds. Emily has already established an impressive publication record, including articles in Media, War & Conflict, Review of International Studies, Feminist Theory, and, most recently, Critical Studies on Security.
