Marguerite La Caze, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Queensland, discusses her new book Film and Everyday Resistance (Northwestern University Press, 2024) with Cormac Opdebeeck-Wilson. The discussion ranges from power and dissent in film to emotions, nonviolence and everyday resistance.
Marguerite La Caze is a professor in the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at the University of Queensland. Her previous books include The Analytic Imaginary, Wonder and Generosity: Their Role in Ethics and Politics and Ethical Restoration after Communal Violence: The Grieving and the Unrepentant.
