New Visual Politics Event Program

Our new Visual Politics Research Program is out now. Please come along either in person or online. The first two events – with Dr Marcelle Trote Martins (Politics / Manchester) and Prof Saffron O'Neill (Geography / Exeter) are discussions of insightful new books on, respectively, the visual politics of wounded bodies and climate change. For the third event, Prof Marshall Beier (McMaster) and A/Prof Helen Berents (Griffith) will be with us in person to introduce their collaborative work on the visual economies of childhood.

All events are run, as in previous years, at 5pm on Wednesdays (Brisbane time / UTC+10) and last for an hour.  You can join us in person (building 39a room 501) or on Zoom (register here at our Humanitix site).

This semester I am collaborating on the program with Anita Schenk, who will soon start a Ph.D. in our School working on the visual politics of militarism.

You can find videos of most of our past events here.

We look forward to seeing you soon at our first event this semester.
